Darius Robinson drafted by Arizona Cardinals in Round 1
Darius Robinson’s football dreams came true just miles from where he grew up.Robinson, a Southfield native, was drafted by the Arizona Cardinals at 27th overall in the first round of the 2024 NFL draft hosted in downtown Detroit. The 22-year-old graduate of Canton High School landed with his first professional football team after hearing his name announced in front of a home crowd in Campus Martius Park in the heart of Detroit.
Robinson was widely considered a top defensive line prospect in the 2024 draft thanks to a productive fifth season at Missouri, where he played for all of his college career out of Canton. Robinson, who measured in at 6 feet 5 and 285 pounds at the NFL combine, was an All-SEC first-team defensive lineman in 2023, finishing with 8.4 sacks, 14 tackles for loss and 43 total tackles for a stout Missouri defense.

Robinson recently started the Darius Robinson Helping Hands Foundation - a non-profit focused on providing assistance in the local community from youth to seniors who have a need. He wore 'Mizzou' on his jersey nameplate on senior night as a thank you to the University and local community. He was one of the top players on the team in terms of time spent in the community. Robinson was nominated for the AFCA Good Works team. He held a back to school drive in a partnership with Second Missionary Baptist Church in downtown Columbia to provide local youths with backpacks and essential supplies, snacks and haircuts for the start of the school year.

Defensive Lineman of the Week
Recorded a sack in his sixth consecutive contest and leads the Tigers with 6.5 for the season. Added two tackles and a QB hurry. MU held one of the nation's most explosive offenses to seven points, the Vols lowest scoring output in the Josh Heupel era. It was the fewest points the Tigers have allowed since shutting out Vanderbilt in 2020. The Vols were limited to under 83 rushing yards, marking the first time they have been held under 100 yards since their matchup with Georgia in 2022 and their lowest total overall since 2021 vs. UGA.

SEC Defensive Player of the Week
Robinson was also tabbed by the Reese's Senior Bowl as its co-defensive player of the week. He led the Tigers defense in a road win over No. 23 Kentucky on Saturday. The senior captain totaled six tackles, 2.5 tackles for a loss and a career high 2.0 sacks. It was the first multiple sack game of his career. The Tigers' defense held UK to seven points and 149 yards of total offense after trailing 14-0 at the end of the first quarter.
